Rick Ramsey

Pastor Ramsey has been our Pastor since December of 1998. He was born and raised in Rockbridge county and is the Son of the late Morris Ramsey of Fairfield Virginia. His mother is Annie Ramsey of Fairfield. His parents were a great influence on the development of his faith. His Dad was a Deacon and his mother a Faithful Sunday School teacher taught him the basics of Christianity by word and example. Growing up in Church created an understanding of the bible which eventually led to his salvation at the age of 21. Shortly after being saved Pastor Ramsey was called to preach and attended Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga Tennessee as well as Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia. After graduation Pastor Ramsey served as Pastor in West Virginia for a brief time before coming home and serving as Pastor of his home Church Marlbrook Baptist Church for 9 years. After serving in Evangelism for a couple of years he came to Calvary Brethren Church. Pastor Ramsey now lives in his hometown of Fairfield with his wife Suzy whom he has been married to for 37 years. Pastor Rick and Suzy have 4 sons and 7 Grandchildren.
